State of Israel To the Honorable Rabbi Dr. Y. Avigdor Mexico Legation of Israel Alejandro Dumas No. 231 Mexico City, D.F. 7th of Shevat 5718 1958, January 28 Rabbi and my teacher, With great joy, I received the book you were kind enough to send me, one of the five volumes of the Torah "in writing and orally" that you have been teaching since your arrival in Mexico. I will not hide from you that while casually browsing through it, I noticed its great depth, and a doubt crept into my heart whether I would be able to fully grasp your thoughts. Nevertheless, I will make special efforts in order to enjoy the fruits of the labor you invested in it. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for this esteemed response. With respect and honor, Shimon Amir
