Visit of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Kook to the Avodat Yisrael Group on Mount Carmel

Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Kook visiting the Avodat Yisrael group on Mount Carmel on September 9th, 1925. Members of the Avodat Yisrael group include rabbis, writers and farmers. They are pictured here at their first settlement on the slopes of Mount Carmel before joining the Kfar Hasidim group. Among those standing, in the center of the photograph, are numbered: 1. Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Kook, 2. Rabbi Aba Yaakov Boruchov, 3. Rabbi Shlomo Cohen Aharonson, 4. Rabbi Dov Kook (brother of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Kook), 5. Rabbi Yeshayahu Shapiro "the Chaloitz Rebbi", 6. Rabbi Yehoshua Redler-Feldman. At the bottom of the original frame for the photograph was a handwritten inscription that read "For eternal remembrance for the esteemed writer R' Yehoshua Redler-Feldman for his visit to the 'Avodat Yisrael' group on Mount Carmel on the 20th of Elul 5685." In the lower right corner of the frame was the symbol of the photographer who produced this photograph, Tzvi Feigin of Haifa.
