The Funeral of Rabbi Moshe Blau in Jerusalem

The funeral of Rabbi Moshe Blau at the entrance of the hospital "Shaarei Tzedek" (the old compound) in Jerusalem in 1946. Seen from right to left are Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Karleitz "Chazon Ish" and Rabbi Yosef Shlomo Kahaneman of Ponevezh. Between them stands Rabbi Rafael Halperin and Rabbi David Greinman. Further left is seen Rabbi Dov Berish Weidenfeld of Tshevne. In the book "Pe'er HaDor" it is told that this was the only time "Chazon Ish" saw the Rabbi of Tshevne, and when he arrived at his home in Bnei Brak he inquired with his close associates who this was that he saw at the funeral, and when he learned that it was the Rabbi of Tshevne he requested to bring the books "Dovev Meysharim". Since then he never parted from the book on his desk, and he even brings from it in his book "Chazon Ish" several times.
